(By: J. R. Miller)
"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness'
before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you
will have no reward from your Father in heaven."
Matthew 6:1
No grace shines more brightly in a Christian,
than humility. Wherever SELF comes in—it
mars the beauty of the work we are doing.
Seek to do your work noiselessly. Do not try
to draw attention to yourself—to make others
know that you did some beautiful thing. Be
content to pour your rich life into other wasted,
weary lives—and see them blessed and made
more holy—and then hide away and let Christ
have the honor. Work for God's eye—and even
then, do not think much about reward. Seek to
be a blessing—and never think of self-glory.
"Then your Father, who sees what is done
in secret, will reward you." Matthew 6:4
“Write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought for are commonly the most valuable.”

Thanks. That was good.
Hey what's up with the profile picture? lol.
Amen to that girlie. :) You know, you should do my mother's Saturday Psalm & Praise meme on Saturdays. You'd love it.

Hello Miss Brooke -
I was surprised but delighted that you left me a comment. I am doing fine. I hope you are too. I have been busy cleaning, and doing things around the house. I just recently got all of my articles in for Growing In Grace. But other than that, I am not doing anything in particular. :)
Well, I have moved, and I am hoping to be blogging more on my City on a Hill, but I will still be posting on The TeaRoom. You are welcome to stop by anytime. I also have a homestead blog if you are interested in looking at that - http://homesteadblogger.com/RachelsReasoning.
You are welcome to take a look there too. :)
I'm glad you liked my hymn. It is a very good song. It's one of my favourites. It is so true. I want God to be my Vision, and only Hid will. Speaking of things like that, I like the title of your blog. That verse is one of my favourites. :)
I hope was can meet again soon too. It was so fun to meet you and Holly, and your little sisters too. I loved your kitties too. :P
Well, stop by whenever you want. God Bless you too. :)
Love,
Rachel
